Who Sent You? – A Devotional on Discernment and Purpose
Every relationship isn't a divine connection.
Some are distractions disguised as support.
Some are delays cloaked in charm.
And some… are detours sent straight from the pit to knock you off course
.
As a woman of purpose, you must learn to ask the hard question: “Lord, who sent them?”
Discernment is protection. And in this season, you can't afford to link arms with anyone who doesn’t align with where God is taking you.
Remember—Judas walked with Jesus too. He looked like a friend, but his presence had a purpose that wasn’t for Jesus’ good—but God still used it for His glory.
So yes, God will allow some people to come close, even those who don’t mean well. But it’s your responsibility to stay prayerful, stay watchful, and stay grounded in His Word. That’s how you protect your vision.
Let's reflect a bit:
Is there someone in your life right now that God didn’t send, but you’ve allowed access to your heart or vision?
Have you been ignoring red flags because you’re afraid to walk alone?
Are you discerning people by their fruit or just by your feelings?
Prayer: Lord, give me discernment in every relationship. Help me to recognize what’s from You and what’s a distraction. I want to protect the vision You’ve placed in me and walk only with those who are called to walk with me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
