What If Your Yes Changes Everything?
Although I am less than the least of all the Lord's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ. — Ephesians 3:8, NIV
Paul didn't look like the obvious choice. He had a history. He had blood on his hands. He had spent years opposing the very Gospel God was about to ask him to carry.
And yet grace interrupted him anyway.
What Paul could not have known in that moment is how far one yes would travel. The letters he wrote while walking out his assignment are still changing lives thousands of years later. He didn't write with that kind of visibility. He just obeyed.
His obedience outlived his lifetime.
And I believe yours can too.
Your calling is not just a personal conversation between you and God about whether you feel ready. It is connected to real people on the other side of your obedience — people you may never meet on this side of Heaven.
God said in Jeremiah 1:5 that before He formed you in the womb He knew you. He knew your fears, your history, your insecurities — and He still wrote purpose over your life anyway.
The calling was never conditional on you being perfect before you moved.
Think about this...
What assignment have I been sitting on — and what has fear been telling me about it?
Who could be on the other side of my obedience that I have not yet considered?
What would one faithful step look like this week?
Pray with me
Father, I know You placed something in me. Fear has been louder than faith in this season. But Your Word says You knew me before I was formed — and this assignment was never about my perfection, only my obedience. Show me the next step and give me the courage to take it. Let my yes become something that outlives me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
